DataShare 2.0 available for testing

Enhancements to DataShare are now available for testing

  • This new User manual outlines the new features which are due for release in March 2026

    • Update to order configuration business rules

    The following business rules were introduced to order configurations:

  • Limit number of dataset/product to order by Guest user to 1
  • Only allow users to draw or upload area of interest less than 50,000 km²
  • Implement match order for single order where number of dataset=1
  • Remove Custom Cookie-VICTORIA_BUFF from DataShare.

    • New custom cookie added to DataShare

    A new Custom Cookie for Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAP) Appointed Boundaries has been added to the Select by Area option in DataShare

    Ability to edit your details and new order configuration rules

    You can now edit your user account details (excludes e-mail address) and the following business rules were introduced to order configurations:

  • Limits on orders using zonal projections (MGA 54/55) and ‘Whole of state’.
  • Enhanced Order validation checks.

    • Z value now included in AutoCAD formats

    AutoCAD formats now include the altitude Z value

    DataShare enhancements

    The following enhancements are now available in DataShare:

  • The Publication Date is now displayed under the resource name in the search results page
  • Orders containing a single dataset are now matched to reduce double handling and improve order delivery times
  • The number of order items is now limited to 1 for guests and 5 for registered users

    • Improving the way to place an order

    The following business rules were introduced to order configurations:

  • The cookie selected is displayed now under the “Area selected” button.
  • Order History page has the additional of Active and Closed values for recurring order status.
  • Reorder includes the addition of a start date change.
  • Bulk configuration (can only choose locality due to the AutoCAD limit on size).
